Hello all, im Yokal Bob and have decided to apply for the position of CPM1 for the purposes of making the game better and enabling more people to enjoy their game in New Eden. Iam 26 years old currently studying modern warfare. I have been on this game for a while and would like to see more people gain the enjoyment out of the game that I do.
My character is specced into almost everything this game has to offer, so Iam never ill prepared for a battle. In doing this it means that I am loyal to no faction in particular as I use the equipment etc from all races.
I think that i would suit this role because I am good with problem solving and working to deadlines. I work well under pressure and can keep a level head. Most importantly however is the fact that I love this game and want others to as well.
While I myself have my views on things that could be improved in the game, I am aware that my voice shall be that of the community, with all sides of the argument looked closely into and will be voiced. For example, there is a need to make Planetary Conquest fair for all. But how should one go about it? on the one hand there are corporations locking their districts, but in situational circumstances it can be seen as a viable tactic. My suggestion would be that locking districts can be done but they are to have some sort of cooldown period. This suggestion has also been brought up in the forums. Another aspect is ringers, is it fair that corporations wanting to gain a foot in PC or to expand are finding themselves up against the top players? Is there a way to reduce this while still keeping the mercinery aspect of the game alive? I was thinking of a set number of the corporations players have to be present in the battle (lets say 8). Doing this would mean that there is still a market out there for mercinaries, while maintaing a corporation element to Planetary Conquest.
I understand that this position may make some people dislike me for witholding information and such, but remember Iam your voice (the community).
I will adhere to the terms set out that this post will not be abused by me under any circumstances, I understand that any information given will be held in utmost secrecy until told otherwise.
I am free to answer any questions both here and in game. If you would like other methods of reaching me please don't hesitate to email me at [email protected]
Hope my applications not too late.
Regards,

My views on respecs is that I feel they should be implemented alongside 1.8 to keep the current players happy. This is because with all the new suits coming (see feedback section), and the changes to bonuses etc. the players will want to skills into the suits they wanted in the first place or one they feel more comfortable using. I feel there should be a way to detect the cloaks however because I can see them been massivly abused.
I would like to see some balance between the shield and armour vehicles (more hp on shields, lower regen rate) or have armoured tanks rep their armour in the same way shield tanks can.
With PVE been called for all over in the forums I feel that even if it is not going to be implemented for a while some kind of update should be made on the situation to keep the players happy and informed as an informed customer is a happy one.
One of the most important aspects in need of attention in the near future is a closer connection between Eve and Dust. Some integrated Market system would not go amiss as would self made weapons (say from salvage, with a workshop in the merc quaters).
Please throw me some questions:)

Killar-12 wrote:A few questions In what ways would you wish to see the Connection between capsuleers and infantry expanded?
How high on your list of priorities is having dust able to perform a constant framrate of say 20 FPS?
Would you wish for the return of Corporation Battles or rather the introduction of Team Deploy for Factional warfare?
I'm sure to come up with more questions, but these seem to be ones that many people have so I put them here
In responce to question one, one of the things I has thought about was salvage. We on the ground could pick up salvage that would be useless to us as an item, but one we could sell to players on EVE and vise versa. This could range from mining materials to weapons and modules for both sides.
I would also like to see ground participation for wars that occur on the EVE side between alliaces, for example http://kotaku.com/gigantic-space-battle-breaks-out-in-eve-online-thanks-1510023302
For question 2, a constant FPS would be ideal, however it is massivley dependent on on the amount of activity in a single place. for example on the meatgrinder map in domination with all the equipment and explosions the FPS is bound to drop. Also a factor is the increase in lagswitches used in Dust 514. Being realsitic, with many battles occuring at the same, keeping a steady FPS on one battle is hard as with the factors mentioned above. I feel there are more pressing matters among the commuity at the present time.
I would like to see corporation battles take priority. This is because with corporation battles both sides can field their full teams, however with team deploy in Factional Warfare the battles will turn one sided with whoever has a full team against a random collection. This could discourage players from playing in Factional Warfare, which is something detremental to the gaming community of Dust 514.
Thank you for your quesitons.

Going through other threads there have been questions posed to all candidates, for example, Jaysyn Larrisen asked some quesitons in Mossellia Delt's thread, as quoted below;
"Now, a few questions for you (same as I pose to all candidates):
1) Other than the forums how do you intend to collect and communicate requests, needs, POV of the community? In particular, those outside your corp / alliance.
2) What level of interaction would you like to establish between the CPM and CSM?
3) What are the top 3 short term (next 2mo's) changes you would encourage CCP to make?
4) What are the top 3 mid term (next 6mo's) changes you would encourage CCP to make?
5) In Spring of 2015, when CPM1's term is up, what would you want people to have said about your tenure as a CPM member?
6) Will you be creating a channel for folks to meet and squad with you during the period before the election?"
In responce to the first question, I squad up randomly at times, ask what they think about Dust 514 and how it can be improved in their eyes, I do the same with those in my corporation and in the alliance. This way it gives me first hand communication with the community. It also helps because I can narrow down the most popular interests for future updates.
The second question stands thus, I would like various forms of communication between the CSM and the CPM on a regular basis, this will enable communications and ideas to swap back and forth at a steady rate, and ideas will be developed faster.
To answer question three I would ask that corporation battles be brought back. It is a cost friendly way of gearing up for planetary conquest and running tactics. The second item would be an all round respec, while the third would be a balancing of the rail rifle and the combat rifle. These I believe are short term changes which many in the community are asking for which will keep the player base happy.
For the medium term I would like to see either PVE in place or a statement from CCP in regards to the subject. I believe that it will bring many former players back as well as keeping the current playerbase and will help bring in new faces to the community. At the moment the community feels that their are being kept in the dark and ignored on the subject. There are many in the community who wish to see a greater bond between Dust 514 and Eve Online, with the upcoming player market I hope CCP can take the initiative to bond these two games closer together. For example, we could gain mining materials or weapons, parts of ships, which we could then sell to Eve players. Likewise Eve players could maybe salvage Dust items from ships then sell them to us. Also with the war going on in B-R5RB, I was thinking what could we infantry do to affect the outcome of future battles like that? It will be an interesting discussion, but that will take longer to implement. The next concern for the community is a better worked system for Planetary Conquest.
As long as I remain a good voice for the community it is something I will not have to worry about.
My channel is called The Corner feel free to pop in and squad, kill a few things and discuss ideas and possibilities.

One thing that seems to be a major issue at the moment is squad members not getting into the match with the rest. This certainly needs attention in the near future as it is a detterent for people wanting to play the game.

My channel is called The Corner feel free to pop in and squad, kill a few things and discuss ideas and possibilities. I appreciate your responses. Would you mind expanding on what "studying modern warfare" is and how much time you believe you will be able to allocate to duties as a member of the CPM if elected?
I am in my final year at university, my work is nearly over (dissertation finished) and so I can dedicate most of my time to the duties of CPM. My course while classed as modern history in its name focuses on battles after 1793 (mostly World War One onwards). This means I study tactics and strategies used in the various wars, but also the social impact and the after-effects.
Thank you for the questions, feel free to ask if you have anymore.

With Fanfest just around the corner and the possibility of PC 2.0 I thought I would share my views on changes which could make PC have a better connection to EVE.
As you all know there are different types of facilities, clone facility, research lab, cargo hold.
To make Dust 514 better connected and have more of an effect on EVE, I propose that;
The research lab creates skill books which can be sold to EVE players,
The cargo hold creates minerals which will also be available to sell to EVE players
These can be stored in a corporation vault which the CEO and directors have the only access to, but which can be traded as normal.
The creation of an engineering facility - This could create various modules for both Dust and EVE players
PC 2.0 - The possibilities are endless

How would you propose that a link be created that connects Dust corps that are not interested in PC? Do you feel that EVE integration extend beyond PC?
I was thinking that EVE items could also be made into loot on Dust 514. This can be looted in FW and Corp battles (once they return).
Every corporation should have a vault, players can donate items to the vault, which when sold can be returned to the corporation's players as wages or whatever they decide to do.
I was also thinking that for FW corporations could have standing with factions, where the higher the standing the loot is aquired.
It is vital that EVE integration extends beyond PC, aside from public matches I believe that all other aspects of Dust 514 should be connected with EVE Online.
Side note - It could be that in terms of PC, corporations have airspace, this means that there could be 2 forms of attack on a district, one in space the other on the ground. If the space attack is successful then a ground battle must ensue. This will I believe gain more EVE interest in participating in Dust 514. If however, the defending corporation does not have EVE support then a space attack will not be possible so it will be attacks as standard.
Just throwing ideas out there, I like speculating what 2.0 will bring :)
